IMO the surveillance part of that is less disturbing than the discrimination part. Both are the reason crypto currencies are needed, though.
And so it begins. Intermediary bank blocked my SEPA transfer to a Bitcoin exchange due to the nature of the transaction. No law against BTC.

Set up my YubiKey with LastPass and it works like a charm. Secure element > second auth key alone.
Monsanto wouldn't be a problem at all without state-granted and enforced monopolies called patents. Same goes for other mega corporations.
Just because you're running a comparatively small service doesn't somehow make it not a centralized silo, if the architecture is the same.
